Stress tests involve modeling the business response to potential changes in economic factors. Business units are often stressed with “average” future conditions. This leads to the flaw of averages, which masks portfolio effects and constraints or optionality.

The Vector approach to stress testing provides probabilistic modeling and the ability to roll up results to a consolidated risk statement.
